Description
Having produced vineyard-designated Syrah from Alisos Vineyard since 2001, we’re continually impressed with the uncanny concentration and length of this wine year after year. Crafted on a foundation of firm tannins and noticeable acidity, our Alisos Syrah has trademark aromas of smoked meat, black licorice and violets which carry through to the palate, accented by hints of earth and spice. Although 2012 was a rather ripe vintage, yielding a wine more approachable in its youth than years prior, we think this wine will still benefit from a few more years in the cellar… if you can hang onto it for that long!
